Notes

Virtually all drawings trimmed before being placed in the volume, for the most part numbered in ink on the drawing, usually at the top, in an eighteenth-century hand, also found on the drawings at Blair Adam and in the Clerk Collection, Scotland.
Thses are academic studies made while Robert Adam was in Rome in the winter of 1755 - 56.
