The composition of the drawing and under-drawing here is similar in concept to Robert Adam's scheme for a palace or public building shown in Adam vol.10/18 or the larger design in Adam vol.28/1. They may also be compared with the under-drawing in Adam vol.55/12. However, it is easy to see such a design as the summation of smaller schemes, such as that shown in Adam vol.55/52.
