Curatorial note

The entry in the 1837 AB inventory for this object is 'Another' e.g. as M129 A piece of Guiloche Ornament after the Antique, Plaster. Walter Spiers' in his 1906 inventory notes that it is a cast of honeysuckle ornament rather than guilloche and describes it as 'modern'.

Three pieces of similar guilloche ornament, M129, M130 and M131 hung together, presumably for comparative purposes.
