Purpose
Finished drawing for the ceiling for the drawing room, 1769, executed, possibly with alterations (1)
Notes
The drawing room would have been located at the front, on the first storey of the house.
There are extant photographs of the front drawing room at number 7 Adam Street taken by the LCC in 1906 and 1937. Both show the basic geometrical outline of this ceiling design painted in white. However, the ornamental detail and colouration of the design are omitted, and it is not known if they were originally executed or not.
