Purpose
Design for the ceiling for the front drawing room, 1770, executed at number 10 Royal Terrace (1)
Notes
The front drawing room was at the front, overlooking the river, on the first storey of the house.
This design was not executed at number 8 Royal Terrace, and instead was installed at number 10 Royal Terrace where it survived to be photographed by the LCC in 1936. In this room a ceiling was executed which had been designed for the front drawing room at number 10 Royal Terrace (Adam volume 13/39), and survived to be photographed by the LCC in 1936, albeit with the room partitioned down the middle.
