Design for the chimneypiece for the front parlour, c1769-70, executed with alterations (1)

Notes

The front parlour would have been in the front room on the ground storey of the house.

This chimneypiece was sold at auction in 1936, and from the auction catalogue it appears to have been carved in pine and painted, and executed to a variant design with a fluted frieze.
