Unexecuted designs for alterations and additions, 1796-7 (8)
Notes
The Canadian Centre for Architecture has an undated drawing for Hinton St George, largely in Soane's hand, that is an elevation and plan of the principal floor and front. The elevation is quite close to drawing [13] except that the three bay centre is domed. The plan shows the portico with a segmental plan that appears on drawings [9]-[12]. Among the colllection of British architectural drawings at Yale University, USA, there is an interior perspective of the Saloon (at Hinton St George) having a canopy domed ceiling with a raised circular lantern. The drawing is dated 10 January 1797. Copies of both drawings are in the information file for Hinton St George, Soane Museum.
