Purpose

Preliminary design and design for a ceiling for the staircase, 1772, thought to have been executed (2)

Notes

The staircase was located at the centre of the east front of the house, facing the garden.

All of Adam's interior decorative schemes for 20 Soho Square are thought to have been executed, but this is speculative as it was largely redecorated during the nineteenth century.
