Notes
Adam's ceiling for the staircase was executed in accordance with the drawing, albeit with roundels of acanthus rather than figurative medallions. It underwent alterations during the nineteenth century, but Adam's ceiling was reinstated by the WMF during their recent restoration works. See scheme notes.
