Purpose
Preliminary designs and designs for a funerary monument, 1762, unexecuted (10)
Notes
None of these schemes for the monument were executed. The pedestal shown in Adam volumes 54/2/30 and 19/33 is ornamented with a relief panel depicting a reclining figure, presumably a death-bed scene, and is similar to the relief panels designed by Adam for the Wolfe and Townshend monuments for Westminster Abbey in 1759-60.
