The back drawing room would have been located at the back of the first floor of the house.
It is likely that Adam did install a ceiling in the back drawing room, as he also designed a frieze for the room, but it is not known if this design shows the executed version.
Harris has noted that this design is similar to Adam's design executed for Lord Chief Baron Ord at 8 Queen Street, which survives in situ.
