Purpose
Preliminary designs for the end of a terrace forming part of the forecourt to Cumberland House, 1787-88, unexecuted (2)
Notes
The end of the old Christie's auction house used to form one side of the forecourt to Cumberland House. The purpose of these designs was to make this end of a terrace more aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately neither design was executed and the Christie's building remained unscreened.
