- Robert and James Adam office drawings
Purpose
Preliminary design, design and finished drawing for a milestone, 1760, unexecuted (3)
Notes
Though not executed the structure to support the milestone was begun with brickwork foundations. Later Samuel Wyatt adapted these foundations to support a larger pedestal to carry Joseph Wilton's Medicean lion. There are corresponding drawings in the Kedleston drawings collection.
