Curatorial note
One of a pair with XF182. Of a slightly squarer form than XF2 and with a rather more elegant shape; the tray top with the gallery shaped at the sides to incorporate two circular carrying holes; the rack has three pigeon holes with two small drawers beneath, each drawer with small brass honeysuckle knob (one missing) and oval keyhole escutcheons; four small ball feet.
XF182 and XF189 are rather finer pieces that XF2, with their rounded front corners and elegant brass knobs.
