Curatorial note

In two parts joined with brass hinges; plain wooden frame with red morine lining; four moulded legs with two turned stretchers. This seems likely to be the ‘1 Mahogany framed fire screen with red Morine lining’ described in the Furniture and Fittings inventory as being in this room in 1837.
