Cherub head, plaster, early 19th century

Museum number: X67

Curatorial note

These cherub heads seem to have been commissioned by Soane to decorate his Shakespeare Recess. It is not known whether they were specailly modelled or whether they are casts from an unidentified original. Two can also be found in the Monk's Parlour.
