Oval plaster cast set in a wooden mount and in a wooden glazed frame.

Inscription: A Plaister cast / from a medallion / of John Flaxman / modelled by himself / when a boy - for - / Mr. Wedgwood
Inscription note: The inscription is in the hand of Maria Denman, John Flaxman's sister-in-law from whom Soane acquired this work.
