Curatorial note

Soane office, London, Bank of England, design for Bank Stock Office, 1792: plan and two sections pasted onto a single sheet of paper. The two watercolours, in the same hand and with identical inscriptions, provide show details not just of the complex top-lighting of the Stock Office but also of the counters and central metal stove.
