Inscription: Signed with the monogram HSL for Herman Saftleven. In a later hand, bottom centre, is the incorrect attribution Isaac Van Ostade.

A view of Utrecht with the St Nicholas Church and St Agnieten cloister.

This picture was recorded in the 1837 inventories of Sir John Soane's Museum as by Isaac van Ostade, based on the inscription on its lower edge at the centre.
