Curatorial note

Atlantide term or hermaphrodite. A male torso, head and arms in high relief, joined, beneath drapery held by the left hand to a diminishing base in the manner of a term; the figure is turned toward the right but the head looks towards the spectator. The right arm is raised to the head which is covered by drapery. Probably a model for one of a pair of figures flanking a chimneypiece.
