An exquisite student drawing of this cast dated 1818 illustrates the original lighter coloration (Vol. 83/20). The drawing includes the frame so the cast shown can be securely identified as this one rather than the other example in the collection, M1248, which is not framed.
Unknown but in Soane's collection by 1818.
