Curatorial note

On the body, between plain fillet and moulding, three candelabra from which hang the filleted garlands of fruit and flowers. In the area formed by the drape of the long garland between the widely spaced candelabra is a plain inscription plate within cyma and fillet moulding. In the areas above the other two garlands, there a pair of birds (perhaps doves or pigeons tussel with a grasshopper and a lizard; from below the garlands another pair of birds peck at the fruit and flowers. The birds appear to be pigeons or perhaps doves.
