Curatorial note

Scale 5ft to 1in. During 1807-08 Soane rebuilt the Bullion Office to the east of Bullion Yard, work being completed by April 1808. This basic model indicates the broadest aspects of the design. Its three segmental vaults can be removed to show the plaster ribbing of the ceiling, the central one being emphasised by three shallow panels.
