Curatorial note

This panel is cast from the same original as two other examples in Soane's collection, A5 and M1295. It features symmetrical scolling foliage rising from a grotesque mask at the base. There are flower buds in each of the bottom corners while at the top of the panel a pair of lizards flank the foliage.
