Curatorial note

This cast is taken from an unidentified Roman portrait bust of Matidia the Younger (Vibia Matidia, Matidia Minor). A possible original is the bust which was on loan to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York from the Dubroff family (L. 1995.6.2) for a period c.2007.
