A design for a display of pistols and bayonets over the Guard Room chimney-piece, c.1699-1700

1699
A single drawing, probably by Grinling Gibbons, for an armorial display in the Guard Room, the first state room in the king's apartments in the Privy Garden range at Hampton Court. It can be dated to the resumption of works on the palace interiors in 1699.
