First published under the title The union of the two noble and illustre famelies of Lancastre & Yorke ..., 1548. Hall's work ended with 1532, and was continued from his notes to the death of Henry VIII by Richard Grafton; further details of the original publication are in catalogue entry for the 1550 edition, also in Soane's library (q.v.). This edition is one of a uniform series of chronicles, published under the superintendence of Sir Henry Ellis and others; with an additional title-page transcribing that of the original edition. With an index. Imprint on verso of title-page: 'G. Woodfall, Printer'.
