Lugt 6190; Fredericksen, Index of paintings, I, p. 4, no.8. Fredericksen distinguishes two variants of this catalogue; Soane's copy is type A. Soane purchased nothing at this sale.

Copy Notes Annotated by an unknown hand with prices and buyer's names. The left-hand margin was cropped at a later date removing some letters and numbers. Bound (3) with S. Resta's Historical and chronological series of the most eminent painters, 1739 (q.v.) and three other sale catalogues dated 1801, and inserted between earlier boards (see binding description below). A small printed label giving a price of '18s' pasted in on front paste-down; the lower paste-down is inscribed in pencil 0/2.

Binding Without covers. Early C19th gilt-tooled morocco(?) spine, with labels gilt-lettered 'Catalogs Of Pictures &c', later numbered '46' in a series of sale catalogue volumes. Loosely inserted at a later date between C17th red morocco boards originally belonging to a different, unidentified book, with gilt-tooled central panels containing elongated lozenges and corner pieces within elaborate gilt-tooled borders of foliate ornament incorporating hunters and animals, gilt-tooled floral fore-edges. The boards with white paper paste-downs pasted over earlier green paper ones.
