'The late Thomas Little, Esq.' was the pseudonym of the Irish poet Thomas Moore. The preface and dedication to J[oseph]. At[ki]ns[o]n are signed 'T.M.' posing as editor of the 'Occasional Poems' of his late friend. This is Moore's first volume of original verse which had first appeared in 1801 and was a great commercial success. With a half-title reading 'Little's Poems.' Pages [173]--176 contain a list of books lately published by James Carpenter.
