Anonymous. First published in 1806. Attributed to John Boyd Greenshields. With 8 pages of advertisements for 'Books Printed For And Sold By Mundell, Doig, & Stevenson, Edinburgh, And J. Murray, London' at the end, advertising fourteen collections of poems. Greenshields is not included in the Biographical dictionary of the living authors, 1816 (q.v.).
Copy Notes Bought at the Lyttelton sale, 1--6 July 1823 (q.v.), 4th day, lot 113 (with five other works).
Binding C19th tree calf, gilt roll-tooled Greek key borders, gilt-toolled spine, black morocco spine-label, marbled text block edges and endpapers.
