A supplement to Johnson's English dictionary: of which the palpable errors are attempted to be rectified, and its material omissions supplied. By George Mason, ...
London (Place), printed by C. Roworth, for John White; Leigh and Sothebys; T. Payne,, 1801.

Mason, a notable book collector, first attacked Johnson in his edition of Poems by Thomas Hoccleve, 1796, where he says: 'One should really suspect, that the lexicographer had not collected the authorities for himself, nor even revised them when collected for him. Such a supposition might clear him of downright stupidity, but to the impeachment of his common honesty in dealing with the public'. Cites Hawkesworth's Voyages as the earliest printed occurence of the word 'Kangaroo'. With a final leaf of advertisements for four other works published by Mason.
