A compleat key to The dispensary.

Anonymous. The dispensary, a burlesque poem by Sir Samuel Garth had first appeared in 1699. The Compleat Key was first published in 1714 to accompany the seventh edition of The dispensary; this 1726 edition was presumably published to accompany the ninth edition of the same year (q.v.). Includes 'Verses omitted in the late Editions of the Dispensary' and 'A Prologue Designed for Tamerlane, ... Written by Dr. Garth'. ESTC t31014.

Copy Notes Bound after The dispensary, 9th ed., 1726, which bears the bookstamp of James Collings at foot of the title-page (q.v. for further details).

Binding C18th Cambridge-style blind panelled calf, gilt-lettered maroon spine-label reading 'Dispensary &c'.
