Copy Notes Bought from Thomas Boone for 1s., 24 November 1808. (Spiers Box). Title-page inscribed with the price in pencil. In ink on binding-leaf at back E Libris Herberti Taylor .... Small annotations, mostly front and back, to top right-hand corners of title-page and the two binding-leaves at the rear, possibly reading Bifrons, [Kent] where the father of Sir Herbert Taylor (1775--1839), courtier and army officer, was rector of Patrixbourne. (See ODNB.)

Binding C18th calf, decorative blind-tooled borders, front board decorated with an off-centre circular pattern (made by a compass?).
