Issued in 9 parts from 1829 to 1832 and also sold as two separate works entitled Devonshire illustrated (engraved title-plate dated 1832), and Cornwall illustrated (engraved title-plate dated 1831). Plate publication-lines read 'Fisher, Son & Co. London' dated 1829, 1830, 1831 or 1832. Messrs. Fisher and Jackson's series of 'Picturesque illustrations' commenced with those of Devon and Cornwall; the text for the former was written by E.W. Brayley and that for the latter by John Britton. BAL, Early printed books, no.79.

Binding Mid-19th-century half calf, blind-tooled borders, marbled-paper boards, gilt-ruled spine, black spine-label reading 'Fisher's / Views In / Devon & / Cornwall'. Bound uniformly with Allom's Westmorland, Cumberland, &c. (q.v.), Henry Gastineau's Wales illustrated (q.v.) and Winkle's architectural and picturesque illustrations (q.v.).
