Anonymous. The text is attributed to Leonardus Marius (see British Library General Catalogue). With a dedication to Peter Paul Rubens. The title-page is engraved. The engraved plates with letterpress captions in Dutch are unsigned but were designed and etched by Boetius-Adams Bolswert (ca. 1580--1633). The publisher is sometimes said to have been Ger. van Bloemen. The half-title bears a censor's approbation dated 3 October 1638.

Binding C18th 'catspaw' stained calf, blind-ruled borders, gilt-tooled spine, red morocco spine-label, marbled edges, green silk bookmark.
