A prospectus with a subscription form. The book was promised for publication in 1829 but no evidence of publication has been traced. Pasted in on the front free-endpaper of G. Prandi, Notizie storiche spettanti la vita e le opere di Lorenzo Leonbruno, 1825 (q.v.).
Copy Notes Copy 1: This copy was evidently sent to Soane by his friend Maria Cosway on 4 May 1831 (Priv. Corr. III.C.4.36) with a request for him to procure subscribers. With an AL from Maria Cosway pasted onto the title-leaf, dated Lodi, 22 December 1831, congratulating Soane on the news of his knighthood transmitted by a Mr Cette and lamenting a weakness in my sight. A postscript announces her intention to give an account of a Collection which is to be sold.
Copy 2: Pasted in with the first copy. Inscribed on title-page John Soane esqre: R.A.
