Drop-head title. Addressed from 'Londres, ce 16 Décembre 1792, l'An 1er de la République.' Signed at the end 'Caron Beaumarchais.' Sheets signed A4 C-D4 E2. An impassioned plea against the charge, voiced by Chabot in the National Assembly, that Beaumarchais had hidden 60,000 guns in his cellars with the connivance of the Municipalité. Printed on blue paper.

Copy Notes With several paragraphs marked in ink and a manuscript note on p. 27 reading M. Beaumarchais n'etait point alors, comme il / l'a été depuis, en Etat d'arrestation dans la prison / du Banc du Roi, pour une somme de dix milles / Livres Sterling qu'il doit à Mrs. Le Cointe / freres, et qui a été emploiée à acquitter / une partie du prix des 60 milles fusils.
