Romæ:, [Giovanni Giacomo de' Rossi] Ad templum Sanctae Mariae de Pace,, 1690.
2, 16-19 leaves, [46] pl. ([1], 3-15, 20-52; 24 double-p.) ; 47.5 cm. (2°)

Printer's imprint on colophon (leaf 19 verso): 'Ex Typographia Io: Francisci de Buagnis'. The work consists of six leaves of letterpress foliated [1] (title-leaf), 2, 16--19 to form a single sequence with the plates, which are numbered 1 (engraved portrait of Cardinal Ottoboni), 3--15, 20--52. Plates 3--7, 9--15, 20--23, 42--48 and 52 (24 in total) are double-page; plates 6 and 7 each bear the impressions of two plates. The plates, showing reconstructions of the arches or details of their relief sculptures, are largely a conflation of plates from Pietro Santi Bartoli's Admiranda Romanarum antiquitatum ac veteris sculpturae vestigia, 1693 (q.v.) and from J.M. Suares's Arcus L. Septimii Severi Aug. Anaglypha, 1676, with a few apparently new plates based on a sketch-book by one of the Sangallo family. BAL, Early printed books, no. 216.
