Written in form of a dialogue between an English grand tourist ('Guglielmo') and his cicerone ('Leandro' i.e. Bertotti-Scamozzi). With an engraved portrait of Marchese Mario Capra, to whom the book is dedicated. Many of the plates are signed 'Cristoforo Dall'Acqua'. With an engraved title-page vignette.

Copy Notes Plates XVIII, XVIIII and XXVI have been cropped in binding at the top and bottom edges, with some loss to the captions.

Binding C19th half mauve calf, blind double-rule borders, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-rule spine, red morocco spine-label reading 'Architettura/ Della/ Città Di/ Vicenza'.
