Copy Notes Inscribed in pencil on front paste-down in the hand of the bookseller Thomas Boone with the Antiquities 2 Vols. 4£=14s=6d, and with the cipher chx on the rear pastedown; and in ink Bought at his Sale at / Bath. by Mr Prestwich / for me Anno 1780. The latter inscription, not in Soane's hand, seems intended to refer to a bookplate which was subsequently removed. The sale, as noted in the copy of Borlase's Antiquities (q.v.), was Mr. Tyndale's; 'Mr. Prestwich' may have been the antiquarian John Prestwich who died in 1795. There are signs of an earlier bookplate having been removed before Soane's was pasted down.

Binding C18th sprinkled calf, gilt double-ruled and gilt-tooled spine, red morocco spine-label. Bound uniformly with a copy of the second edition of Borlase's The antiquities of Cornwall, 1769 (q.v.).
