La pratiqve dv trait a prevves, de Mr Desargves Lyonnois, pour la coupe des pierres en l'architecture. Par A. Bosse, ...
A Paris (Place), de l'imprimerie de Pierre Des-Hayes,, 1643.
[8], 56, 114 p., [2] add. engr. t.-pl., [115] pl. (incl. 2nd add. engr. t.-pl., printed on 57 leaves) : full-page engr. dedic. ; 17.1 cm. (8°)

Bosse's treatise is an application of Gérard Desargues's 'universal' geometrical method to the cutting of masonry (i.e. stereotomy), intended to make it intelligible to the practising mason. The first page of the dedication to Monseigneur Seguier, Chancelier de France, is wholly engraved. The second added engraved title-plate and 114 numbered engravings (unsigned but prepared by Bosse from drawings by Desargues, cf. 'Avant-Propos' pp. 5--6) are printed on the rectos and versos of [58] leaves, each plate facing its appropriate text page, with the verso of pl. 114 blank. BAL, Early printed books, no. 339.
