Anonymous. By Elizabeth Boyd, a poet and novelist of whom little is known but her publications, such as this "long patriotic poem in which she reviews the defeat of the armada in 1588 and praises the naval actions of 1739." (ODNB). Price from imprint: price One-Shilling. The verso of the half-title announces the publication of A description of the Windward-Passage, and Gulf of Florida, 2nd ed. ESTC n15336; Foxon B338.

Copy Notes Formerly folded. Bound (16) and last in a collection of satirical and political pamphlets, chiefly in verse; the front pastedown inscribed in ink H Lushington 1766.

Binding C18th quarter pigskin (?), marbled-paper boards, red morocco spine-label gilt-lettered 'Miscellaneous Poems'. Numbered '62' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
