Dedicated by permission to Soane who was professor of architecture at the Royal Academy during the period when Brown exhibited designs there. The book refers to and illustrates methods of architectural perspective drawing used by Soane and J.M. Gandy. Plate XXXIX, showing the revolving Temple of Concord in Green Park, is dedicated to the Duke of York, hand-coloured and bound as a frontispiece. A second edition was published in 1835 (q.v.).
