Lugt 9582. With addendum slip tipped in on the title-page explaining the abbreviated references in the catalogue. The first and second day's sales, which dispersed the contents of Bullock's Egyptian Hall 'Roman Gallery', contained a considerable quantity of paintings, drawings, sculpture, casts and assorted antiquities, including several pictures, pieces of furniture, silverware, and other trophies of Napoleonic interest. Hooked on Books 3.5.

Copy Notes With both brown printed wrappers present, the front bearing a variant of the title and the rear details of eighteen forthcoming days of the sale. Despite the Napoleonic material in this sale it would appear that Soane remained untempted, his copy of Bullock's catalogue being unmarked apart from the front wrapper which is inscribed in ink J Soane Esq RA. Bound in a collection of sale catalogues, 1784--1823.

Binding Recent half goatskin.

Reference Number 1819
