First published in 1806 as A disquisition upon Etruscan vases (q.v.). This edition adds an appendix with a classification of vases. The illustrations are mostly stipple-engraved. BAL Early printed books, no. 633.

Copy Notes Front free-endpaper inscribed in ink John Soane Esq.re/ &c. &c./ With the Author's Respects. Christie had previously presented Soane with the 1806 edition.

Binding C19th grey paper boards, printed paper spine-label reading 'Christie's Disquisitions Upon The Painted Greek Vases'.
