Lugt 10316. The imprint is taken from page 87. This much-publicised sale did not take place, Fonthill Abbey and most of its contents being sold instead by private treaty to John Farquhar for £330,000.

Copy Notes With a covering presentation letter from James Christie dated 8 August 1822, which is folded to form an envelope for a Catalogue and Ticket addressed to John Flaxman Esq R.A. / Buckingham Street / Fitzroy Square.
