Quarter sheet, folded, conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title. The publication of this proposed print, impressions of which were promised 'for delivery in the Autumn of 1819', was undertaken by a committee formed to assist Clennell's three young children following the double tragedy of their father's mental breakdown in 1817 and their mother's death the following year. The engraving was to be 18 inches by 10¼ and impressions priced as follows: 'Prints £1. 11s. 6d. Proofs £3. 3s. The first fifty on India Paper £5. 5s. [and] Fifty etchings ... at £1. 1s. each'. Hooked on Books 9.6.

Britton // March 5.19. // PS. have you seen the New Monthly Mag: in / which Annals of Arts, Elmes & Haydon are seriously / castigated? - Mr. H. is also prettily dressed in / Lity Journal of Sunday week // J. Soane Esq.
