With the plates printed on india paper. These sheets and plates were also issued in the 'supplementary' or 'fifth' volume of Stuart and Revett's Antiquities of Athens published by Priestley and Weale in the same year (q.v.). Plates III exists in 'corrected' and uncorrected states. BAL, Early printed books, no. 376.

Copy Notes The Soane copy has the plates printed on india paper and protected by guards; pl. III is in the 'corrected' state. Purchased from Priestley and Weale's Catalogue of books on architecture, 1831, item 135, '£3.3s, elegantly half bound in blue morocco, gilt leaves'. (q.v.).

Binding C19th half green morocco, thick gilt-ruled borders, marbled-paper boards, gilt-tooled and gilt-lettered spine.
