Anonymous. A response to A concise vindication of the conduct of the five suspended members of the Council of the Royal Academy, 1804 (q.v.), published anonymously by John Singleton Copley the younger in response to the controversial suspension of his father, Soane and three others in 1803; a second edition of the Concise vindication with a new postscript by Soane also appeared in 1804 (q.v.).

Copy Notes Bound (3) with four other pamphlets on the arts including both editions of A concise vindication of the conduct of the five suspended members of the Council of the Royal Academy.

Binding C19th full diced russia, gilt double-rule borders, gilt- and blind-tooled spine, marbled edges. Bound by Edwin Hutchinson for 4s., 28 February 1832. (Archive 7/16/29 book binding, half russia). Numbered '67' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
