Half-sheet, folded, conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title with wood-engraved royal arms. With the letter of approbation from the Office of Ordnance printed as a side note in the righthand margin, a 'Scale of the comparative expense' for mounting maps on spring rollers and 'upon Mr. Deacon's new principle' at the foot of p. [1], and subscription proposals for F.E. Woerl's 'A New And Superb Atlas Of Europe, In 220 Sheets' and Frederick De Kausler's 'Atlas Of The Most Memorable Battles And Sieges Of Ancient and Modern Times, in 200 Sheets.' on the verso only. Another version of this advertisement preserved in Soane's Library (dated 1832, priority of issue unknown) lacks the address in Liverpool and the scale of comparative expense, and has the advertisements of Woerl's and De Kausler's atlases printed on pp. [2] and [3] (q.v.).
